Our topic.

Sharon and I’s topic is about safe sex and what it can do for a girl and a guy. We ask can “safe sex” really be a thing? Is there a possibility for parents to educate their child on many of those topics? With our topic we wanted to reach out to parents who are not sure on how to help their children on the “talk.”

 

What is safe sex?

Safe sex is and would be no sex at all because, if you were to try to do anything you can have any possibilities of anything. Talk about safe sex are very important to have at any age with the crazy amount of teen parents. Safe sex is very important to know and learn about because it will teach you about the many dangers and consequences you may have about having sex.

 

Can parent talks prevent teen pregnancy?

The whole idea of the “talk” is to raise awareness of the consequences that sex can have. It is also there to help protect your children with STD’s and pregnancy, but this does not necessarily mean you can prevent a teen pregnancy. Although the talk cannot prevent a pregnancy it gives your children awareness of being safe and using condoms while being sexually active.

 

STD’s what you don’t know can hurt you.

The idea of a safe sex talk is to inform teens about using protection not only to prevent pregnancy, but also to ensure a healthy sex life. With regards to STDs Protection such as condoms are the most effective way besides abstinence. We believe that consulting teens with the information of possible diseases will help prevent any type of disease.

 

Process

There was a long process on our paper we first had to gather many articles about safe sex, abstinence, teen pregnancy, and diseases. After gathering all of our articles learning about sex and how we can present it to parents we put all of our thoughts on our graphic organizer. Starting off with our essential question “is safe sex really a thing?” Got us to branch out many thoughts and different subtopics in our graphic organizer.

 

Product

Having my subtopics we were able to pull out different paragraphs we can have for our research paper. The research paper we created was titled “Safe Sex” detailed about how parents can have the “talk.” Having our organizer and our paper complete was making it more simple for us to pull together a brochure. Because we had different topics on the graphic organizer we got to narrow down on the main concepts to present on our tri-folder.
