Sharon Cardenas is one of the founding students in the personalized learning academy at Vista High school.  She is a student who is striving to be the first in her family to go to a university and obtain a successful career. To ensure her success she has been involved in the avid program for the past three years and continues to be in it. As a sophomore going on to junior year she took a creative writing program that was offered by Cal State San Marcos at her high school. She is also in Dream club which is a club that helps/ mentors first generation students attend college.  The first thing her family and friends will tell you about her is how she puts everyone’s needs before her own.
